Special Vaccination Campaign from October 8 to 10 to make the State free from corona – Health MinisterJaipur, October 6. Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma said that a special vaccination campaign would be run from October 8 to 10 to save people of the State from the corona. He said that in the campaign along with vaccinating those who were deprived of the second dose, efforts would be made to achieve a 100% target of the first dose.The Health Minister said that Union Health Minister Shri Mansukh Madaviya too had spoken to him in detail over the phone in regard to the special campaign. He said that around 27 lakh vaccination doses are available in all the districts of the state. He said that the Union Health Minister has assured to provide doses as per the requirement during the campaign.First dose administered to more than 5.70 crore peopleSharma said that the general public is being vaccinated on an extensive level. Covid vaccine doses have been administered to 5 crore 70 lakh 47 beneficiaries till October 5. Of this, 79.2% that is 4 crore 7 lakh 95 thousand 284 people have been administered the first dose, while 39.7% that is 1 crore 62 lakh 4 thousand 763 beneficiaries have been administered the second dose of covid vaccine.Full vaccination of population above 60 years of ageThe Health Minister said that the first dose has been administered to 69 lakh 89 thousand 353 people above 60 years of age, which according to the target of Census Data of the Government of India is 102.3%. The total target was 68 lakh 33 thousand people. He said that 91 lakh 96 thousand 516 (87.4%) people in the age group of 45 years to 59 have been administered the first dose. Similarly, the first dose has been administered to 2 crore 33 lakh 48 thousand 446 people (68.4%) in the age group of 18 to 44 years.Vaccination started in the State from January 16Sharma said that the first phase of covid vaccination started in the State from January 16. In this, the first dose was administered to 12 lakh 6 thousand 969 healthcare workers and frontline workers. Against the total first dose, 10 lakh 60 thousand 448 second doses were administered. He said that vaccination of all people above 45 years in the State has been started from April 1.Capacity to vaccinate 15 lakh people in a dayThe Health Minister said that the State Government after the corona management has been among the leading states in the country in regard to vaccination. He said that the Health Department has the capacity to vaccine 15 lakh people in a day. 7500 chain points have also been maintained for vaccine storage, where more than 4 crore doses can be stored.
