Health Minister concludes ‘Life of a Doctor’ WorkshopJaipur, October 21 Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma formally concluded the ‘Life of a Doctor’ workshop that was being run in schools of Jaipur on behalf of the Rajasthan Foundation and took detailed information about it from his official residence on Thursday.The Health Minister said the Rajasthan Foundation has done excellent work during the second wave of corona. The Foundation extended help by handing over 3 thousand oxygen concentrators to medical institutions when the State was facing an acute shortage of oxygen.Dr. Sharma said that when the State is facing a shortage of doctors, in such a situation the Foundation did commendable work by going to the schools and helping the students who were interested in the medical field. He said that this would not only increase the interest of the students in the medical field but would also help them in shaping their careers. He said along with the cities, the Foundation should also go to the villages so that talent in these areas too could get a chance.Rajasthan Foundation commissioner Shri Dheeraj Shrivastava said that through this workshop in 7 private and government schools in Jaipur, the students interested in the medical field were counselled, helping them in preparing for NEET and are told about various scholarships. The students are also told how the profession of a doctor is different from other professions. He said the objective of the workshop is to increase the awareness in students about the medical field and to prepare initial planning for their future.Kusum Nathawat (UK) said that the workshop was conducted in many big schools of Jaipur with the help of the Rajasthan Foundation. It aims to help the students to gain knowledge about the various aspects of the medical profession, from entrance exam preparation to day-to-day working as a Resident Doctor. He said that the children showed great interest in the workshop.SMS Medical College Additional Principal Dr. Amarjeet Mehta, Dr. Rinki Hada and students of the college were present on this occasion.
