Ayurveda, Homeopathic and Unani are not alternative but real systems of medicine – Ayurveda MinisterJaipur, November 2.Ayurveda Minister Dr Raghu Sharma said that Rajasthan has a different identity for the Ayurveda system across the country. An institutional framework has been prepared to facilitate all indigenous systems of medicine in the State, which is benefitting the people of the State, country and abroad. He said that the AYUSH Policy of the State shows that the Government is very serious about benefiting the general public with Ayurveda and other indigenous systems.Dr Sharma was addressing the 6th state-level function organised at HCM-RIPA on the occasion of Dhanwantri Jayanti and Ayurveda Day. He said that Medi Tourism Centres are being set up to benefit the general public as well as the tourists from Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Naturopathy and Unani medical facilities available in the State. Free land has been allotted at Nathdwara, Udaipur, Kumbhalgarh, Pushkar, Ghata Mehandipur and Nakoda for setting up these centres. At the same time, the land will be made available soon at other religious places where medi tourism centres are to be built.The Ayurveda Minister said that 1000 Ayurveda dispensaries would be developed as Health and Wellness Centres so that the expansion of Ayurveda facilities in the State takes place in a modern way. He said that of these 500 Ayurveda dispensaries have been developed as health and wellness centres with an amount of Rs 56 crore, whereas the proposal has been sent to the Central Government to identify the remaining centres.MoU signedDr Sharma said that besides strengthening the infrastructure of indigenous systems of medicine in the State, appointments are also being made continuously. Recently, appointment orders have been issued on the posts of 597 Ayurveda medical officers and 11 Unani medical officers. Soon, recruitment will be done on the posts of 704 junior nurse compounders. He said that an MoU has been signed between Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ayurveda University, Jodhpur and Directorate Ajmer on an auspicious day of Dhanwantri Jayanti for research analysis of the patients coming to State and now the research work will take place at a faster pace.Release of School Herbal Garden Drug BookletThe Ayurveda Minister also released the School Herbal Garden Drug booklet in the programme. He said that the State Medicinal Plant Board, Jaipur would develop the herbal garden in 100 schools. He said that the booklet will have all the details about the 30 species of plants that are to be planted in these herbal gardens. He said that complete information about the plants should be displayed in the schools where these plants will be planted so that children can get maximum information about these plants.Minister of State for Ayurveda Dr Subhash Garg said that AYUSH has benefitted crores of people during the period of corona. He said that there is a need to disseminate more and more information related to AYUSH. He said that everyone at the school and college level itself should be benefitted from the subject related to AYUSH. He said that all should adopt Ayurveda in their life so that the dream of Nirogi Rajasthan (Health Rajasthan) can be fulfilled.AYUSH secretary Smt Vineeta Shrivastava said that the importance of the Ayurveda department is once again increasing among the general public. Everyone has accepted the usefulness of Ayurveda, especially during the corona period. She said that new hospitals are being opened for the expansion of Ayurvedic facilities in the State and efforts are being made to benefit everyone by bringing together the indigenous systems of medicine.Felicitated with Dhanwantri AwardThe Ayurveda Minister on this occasion released the Ayurveda Drugs Directory containing details along with pictures that are distributed in Ayurveda hospitals. He also felicitated the employees and officers of the Ayurveda department for their excellent work. Dr Sushil Dutt Sharma and Satya Narayan Panwar were felicitated in the officer category, while Pappu Lal Sharma, Vishnu Dutt Sharma were involved in the teacher and research cadre, whereas Dr Govind Ram, Dr Pradeep Kuma and Dr Mahesh Kumar were felicitated in the category of medical officer. Naresh Kumar and Hari Singh Sagar were felicitated in the category of Nurse and Compounder, whereas Sarla Gupta and Vipin Chandak in the accounts category. Mangilal Meghwal, Lal Chand Sharma, Hari Singh Bahadur were also felicitated with Dhanwantri Award in the retinue category.Dr Sharma also felicitated the philanthropists who had contributed to the expansion of facilities in the Ayurveda Department including Dharampal Kumawat of Sikar, Gheesu Lal Shrimali of Pali and Western Drugs Limited from Sadri in Udaipur.Prof Mahesh Chand Sharma, Dr Anand Sharma, Special Officer Dr Manohar Pareek, Ayurveda department Director Smt Seema Sharma and other eminent people were present on this occasion.&&&&&
