Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that it is the top priority of the State Government to promote youth, women and meritorious students by providing them better opportunities and atmosphere. Many important decisions were taken in the last three years by utilising the capabilities of women and the power of youth for development of the State. In the coming budget too, all efforts would be made to increase their participation by making appropriate provisions for these sections.Shri Gehlot was having a pre-budget dialogue with youth, women professionals and meritorious students through video conference from his official residence on Saturday. He said that sportspersons, young entrepreneurs and meritorious students are being encouraged through policy decisions and schemes.The Chief Minister said that many steps have been taken in the direction of women empowerment. ‘Back to Work’ Scheme has been started to link the women to employment, in which 15,000 women will be benefitted in the next three years. Sanitary napkins are being provided free of cost to women and girls under the Udaan Scheme. He appealed to all to make efforts for wide publicity of this scheme so that women and adolescent girls get benefit of it. The Chief Minister said that the Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme of Rs. 1000 crore has been started to make the women self-dependent. Apart from this, various other schemes including Indira Mahila Shakti Udhyam Protsahan Scheme, IM Shakti Training and Skill Promotion Scheme have been started. New State Women Policy 2021 has been implemented in the state, he said.Shri Gehlot said that the State Government has taken unprecedented decisions to promote sports and sportspersons from urban to rural area. Out of Turn appointment was given to 182 medal winners. Reservation of 2% has been implemented for sportspersons in government jobs. Soon, Rajasthan Rural Olympic Games will be organised, in which approximately 26 lakh youths have registered. The Chief Minister said that Youth are the focal point of the State Government’s policies. Work is being done with a positive note to provide maximum employment opportunities and excellent skill training to youth of the State. Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence-2021 has been started to send talented students in reputed institutes abroad.Shri Gehlot said that all efforts would be made to include the important suggestions given by women, youth and sportspersons in the forthcoming budget. He appealed to the enterprising women to extend cooperation in the development of the State.Participants in the meeting said that the schemes implemented by the State Government to promote youth, women and sportspersons are proving beneficial. Many important decisions such as out of turn appointment, 2% reservation in jobs to sportspersons, organising Rural Olympics are promoting the sports. Women participants called Udaan Scheme, Back to Work Scheme, Indira Mahila Shakti schemes as a big step towards women empowerment.Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs Shri Ashok Chandna, Chief Secretary Shri Niranjan Arya, Economic Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Arvind Mayaram, Advisor Shri Govind Sharma, Principal Secretary Finance Shri Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Smt Shreya Guha and senior officers of the concerned department attended the meeting through video conference.———–
