Health Minister releases poster on ‘Organ Donation AwarenessJaipur, November 27. Health Minister Shri Parsadi Lal Meena released a poster on ‘Organ Donation Awareness’ at his official residence on National Organ Donation Day (November 27) on Saturday.The Health Minister said that organ donation is the greatest gift post-death and any person can save the lives of many people by donating organs. He praised the awareness campaign and works being carried out by the State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organisation (SOTTO) and assured all possible help to increase organ donation.Shri Meena said that recently the Rajasthan Government has converted four government medical colleges (Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur and Bikaner) into non-transplant organ retrieval centre, which will speed up organ donation and transplantation work. He said Rajasthan is in a better position than other States in terms of organ donation, but it requires further improvement.SOTTO members apprised the Health Minister in detail about the organ donation programme going on well in Rajasthan. SOTTO Rajasthan’s Dr Sudhir Bhandari, Dr Amarjeet Mehta, Dr Manish Sharma, Dr Ajeet Singh, Shri Roshan Bahadur and other medical personnel and officers were present on this occasion.
