Shri Bhajanlal Jatav reviews PWD works-  Strengthen quality control, expand road network- PWD MinisterJaipur, 25 November: A day after assuming office, PWD Minister Shri Bhajanlal Jatav visited the PWD campus on Jacob Road and reviewed the progress of various works undertaken by his department.Shri Jatav stressed on the need of strengthening quality control and expanding road network apart from repairing roads that were damaged due to excessive rainfall in some parts of the state. He directed the officials to initiate patching work on roads which fall under the defect liability period (DLP) by summoning the concerned contractors and take up repair of roads which have exceeded DLP through department funds. He also asked the officials to complete the projects which were announced in the Budget on priority basis.       Shri Jatav was welcomed by Principal Secretary, PWD, Shri Rajesh Yadav, Secretary Shri Chinn Hari Meena and CE & AS Shri Sanjiv Mathur. Principal Secretary Shri Yadav briefed him about the structure and work areas of the department following which Shri Jatav reviewed the progress of various works and issued necessary directions to expedite construction and repair activities. The PWD Minister also took stock of the progress in the construction of Rajasthan House in New Delhi.  Apprising Shri Jatav about the significant achievements of the department during the present state government’s tenure, CE & AS Shri Sanjiv Mathur said Rs 15,903 crore has been spent to construct and develop roads measuring 35,362km across the state during this period.      Senior officials of the department also briefed him about the progress in works under various schemes including PMGSY, CRIF, Nabard-RIDF, ADB and World Bank.—–
