Australian High Commissioner calls upon Chief Secretary and Lineaments plans to Invest in RajasthanJaipur 02 February. Australian High Commissioner to India Hon Barry O Farrell made an official call on the newly appointed Chief Secretary Smt. Usha Sharma and congratulated her on assuming the charge of Rajasthan’s top administrative officer. The High Commissioner gave his best wishes to Mrs. Sharma for her future tenure.Hon O Farrell said that Australia- India relationship is getting closer and is meant to go a long way. He told that Australia is aiming to make a healthy investment in India for which skill development, water management, renewable energy, agriculture and mining can be the focus areas. He said that Rajasthan has a huge potential for development of Solar power in particular and the Australian government would be willing to stitch a partnership in developing and sharing technology for enhancing the Solar energy in the state. The Australian ambassador also suggested an exchange program for officers of the two countries under which the administrative officers from one country shall visit the other to understand and learn the administrative working of each other.Mrs. Sharma welcomed all the suggestions made by Hon O Farrell and said that Rajasthan as well is looking forward to a long term sustained relationship with Australia.Also present in the greeting meet were Sh. RaviKant, Principal Secretary, Investments and Sh, Naveen Jain, Principal Secretary, Planning, while the High Commissioner was accompanied by Mr. Jade Taylor, Second Secretary and Ms. Vandana Seth, Senior Research Officer.&&&&&
